#Wwow! Twitter Acronyms for Writers #amwriting

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing an oldie but goodie, adding on a few additions provided by readers.

Twitter Acronyms for Writers

Have I mentioned how much I love twitter? I’ve been tweeting officially for more than a year now and I’ve learned everything by just playing around. BUT it would have been so much easier if someone shared Twitter advice from the get-go. SO, that’s where I step in for you.

Twitter Acronyms:

BTW – By the Way

BC – Because

CX- Correction

DM – Direct Message. This message will only be for the person you send the message to, but again it can only be in 140 characters or less.

EM – Email

FB – Facebook

FF – Follow Friday. On Friday’s you can hashtag FF to promote other tweeters you want others to follow. For example: #FF @MelindaDozier

HTH – Hope that helps

IMHO – In My Humble Opinion

JK – Just kidding

LMAO – Laugh My Ass Off

LOL – Laughing Out Loud

LMK – Let Me Know

MT – Modified Tweet. Put this at the beginning of the tweet so others know you altered it.

NSFW – Not Safe for Work (important for the above #darksideresearch!)

PRT – Partial Retweet. You put this at the beginning of the retweet so others know you altered it.

RE – In reply to

RT – Retweet

RTHX – Thanks for the Retweet

TMB – Tweet Me Back

YW – You’re Welcome

Paloma BeckAfter a circuitous route, I rediscovered my passion for writing. I'm now a happily married carpooling mom writing erotic romance. It's almost naughty and I love it! I write both contemporary and paranormal romances that are anything but PG. I published my first book with Secret Cravings Publishing in August 2012, then branched into self-publishing in April 2013. After an amazing career as a veterinarian, I am now pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a published author. On September 13, 2011, the first book in my Now and Forever series was released.  For the Love of Quinn  had been my baby for two years and I thank the Goddess daily that I listened to my friends and family who encouraged me to get off my butt and send it in to the publisher. Writing erotic romances has been a fantastic experience and one I hope to continue for many more years to come.  With the release of The Island (Now and Forever 2) on November 13, 2012 and the next three books in the series in various stages of editing and polishing before they are sent to Siren for consideration, my life has been completely taken over by my characters.  It’s become even more convoluted with the addition of two more pen names and all the characters that go with them, as well as continuing with publishing my poetry. 
I am a Midwestern girl who lives in California.  I feel like a fish out of water most of the time out here, but I have met a lot of people who help to make me feel a little less homesick for Michigan. With my wonderful husband and muse by my side, I know I’ll find HOME wherever we end up but at the moment it looks like we will be heading up toward Seattle, Washington after he retires next year from the Coast Guard. Who knows, maybe I will write another series set in that area. The possibilities are endless and I hope you all come along on this fantastic journey with me.

I have always had a passion for words, whether it’s getting lost in a book or writing my own. From the time I was a child I would slip away to write short stories about people I knew and fantasies I wished would happen. It has always been my dream to be a published author and with my two children now of school age, I finally have the time to work on making my dream come true.
I live in Georgia with my husband, son and daughter, our six cats and one black lab who rules the house.
